About
I am a 25-year-old artist from London working primarily in monochrome sketching. My drawings are built through repetition and density, lines layered until images fracture and begin to observe themselves. Eyes, figures, and looping forms reappear as a visual language rather than symbols to be solved.
My work is rooted in West London skateboarding culture, where failure, repetition, and endurance are inseparable. That influence deepened during the Covid pandemic, when isolation stripped everything back and drawing became both ritual and escape. Like skating the same ground repeatedly, my practice returns to the same forms, wearing them down rather than resolving them.
Music shapes the tone of my work, particularly the atmosphere of Pink Floyd and the raw honesty of Nirvana. I am drawn to distortion, vulnerability, and imbalance, resisting polish in favor of emotional weight. Much of my practice is informed by lived experience with mental health struggles, where drawing became a way to externalise what felt unspeakable.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies from King’s College London, which informs my interest in myth, archetype, and cyclical narrative. Influences such as Duncan Trussell further shape my approach to exploring discomfort, absurdity, and introspection without offering clear answers.
My work invites prolonged looking and quiet confrontation, existing in tension rather than resolution.
